Job summary

The Big Group in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia is seeking a QA-QC cum Halal Assistant for an immediate hire. The role supports QA/QC and Halal-related activities across the production floor.

Required is a Diploma or Bachelor in Food Technology or related fields, with 1–2 years’ QA/QC or Halal experience; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Food Technology or related field.
• 1–2 years QA/QC or Halal-related experience (fresh graduates may apply).
• Experience handling Halal and HACCP is welcome.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform raw material, in-process and finished product inspections.
• Conduct product sampling and testing (Brix, pH, moisture, temperature, etc.).
• Monitor hygiene, sanitation and GMP practices on floor.
• Record and maintain QC reports and documentation.
• Handle non-conformance products and assist in corrective actions.
• Support internal, customer and regulatory audits (MOH, KKM).
• Ensure production process complies with Malaysia Halal Certification requirements.
• Maintain Halal Assurance System (HAS) documentation.
• Monitor suppliers' Halal certificates and expiry dates.
• Assist in Halal application, renewal and audit preparation.
• Ensure proper storage and segregation according to Halal guidelines.
• Conduct basic Halal awareness training for staff.
