Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a dedicated Room Attendant to maintain cleanliness, comfort, and presentation of guest rooms and public areas. You will follow SOPs, restock amenities, and ensure rooms are ready for occupancy while protecting guest privacy.

The role requires basic English and Bahasa Malaysia, good time management, and the ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays. Training will be provided, and professional grooming is expected.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping or hotel experience is an advantage but not essential, as training will be provided.
• Basic communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Good time management skills with the ability to complete assigned rooms within required timelines.
• Physically fit and able to perform duties involving prolonged standing, walking, lifting, bending, and repetitive movements.
• Willing to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Clean, service, and prepare assigned guest rooms in accordance with hotel standards and SOPs.
• Change bed linens, replace towels, replenish toiletries, and restock guest amenities.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitise guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and designated public areas.
• Empty rubbish bins and ensure proper waste disposal in accordance with policies.
• Inspect guest rooms to ensure facilities are in good condition before occupancy.
• Report maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to the Housekeeping Supervisor or Engineering Department.
• Respect guest privacy by adhering to Do Not Disturb signs.
• Respond promptly to guest requests for towels, amenities, or other services.
• Follow all health, safety, hygiene, sanitation, and infection control procedures.
• Handle lost and found items per hotel policy and maintain documentation.
• Replenish housekeeping carts and ensure equipment is in good condition.
• Work closely with Front Office, Engineering, and other departments to fulfill requests efficiently.
• Maintain a professional appearance and uphold grooming standards.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor or Management.
