Private Advertiser in Kuala Lumpur seeks an experienced Group Treasury & Insurance Manager to own treasury operations and the group’s insurance programme. You will lead cash flow forecasting, funding, banking relationships and FX risk across 19 countries from our Kuala Lumpur hub.
As an individual contributor, you will drive end-to-end outcomes, coordinate with local teams for data and compliance, and shape the group’s risk and liquidity strategy in a dynamic, multi-entity environment.
About the role
We’re looking for a Manager / Senior Manager, Group Treasury & Insurance to own group treasury operations and run the group’s insurance programme. You’ll cover 35 legal entities in 19 countries across the US, LATAM, Europe, India and APAC/SEA. The role is based in our Kuala Lumpur regional hub and reports to the Group CFO / Group Finance Director.
This is an individual contributor role in a lean central finance function. It suits someone who likes owning outcomes end-to-end and dealing pragmatically with local stakeholders.
Key responsibilities: Treasury
Manage group cash flow forecasting, liquidity planning and intercompany funding across 19 countries
Oversee banking relationships, account structures, and FX and interest rate risk management
Monitor covenant compliance, working capital and funding requirements for active and dormant entities
Support capital structure decisions and plan cash repatriation from entities to the Singapore headquarters
Design and maintain reporting on the funding and liquidity health of each unit and the group
Key responsibilities: Insurance
Own the group insurance programme: renewals, broker relationships and total cost of risk (CGL, liability, D&O, cyber, professional indemnity)
Work with local finance and admin teams to gather exposure data, maintain coverage schedules, and manage local certificate and compliance requirements, including admitted-policy jurisdictions
Track emerging risks in data annotation, AI consulting and agentic AI service lines, and elevate new exposures to Legal and the broker for specialist input
Maintain the claims log, coordinate claims with brokers and insurers, and manage run-off cover decisions for dormant entities
Set clear service boundaries with local finance and admin teams: define Group Treasury & Insurance scope, provide templates and checklists, and set data quality and timeliness standards
Escalate and work with Legal, specialist brokers and senior management where needed
Give practical, right-sized guidance rather than exhaustive advice on every local query
What we’re looking for
8-12 years' corporate treasury experience, with meaningful exposure to insurance or risk management (in-house or broker-side)
Experience in a multi-entity, multi-jurisdiction group; BPO, technology or services sector experience is a plus
Hands-on experience with emerging-market currencies, cash repatriation and FX hedging (forwards, NDFs); working knowledge of hedge accounting (IFRS 9 / MFRS 9)
Degree in Finance or Accounting; a treasury or risk certification (AFP, CTP, ACT, ARM) is an advantage
Confident working independently: sets clear expectations and prioritises without a team to delegate to
Strong stakeholder skills: collaborative and supportive, but not conflict-avoidant, and able to handle scope creep from local units diplomatically
