Sime in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to oversee tax compliance for operating units, including corporate tax, indirect tax, transfer pricing and foreign tax. You will review tax returns, computations, transfer pricing documentation, and schedules to ensure accuracy and compliance.

The role involves advising on transactions, identifying planning opportunities, leading audits and engagements with authorities, and providing guidance to finance teams while driving process

Qualifications

• Strong tax knowledge across Malaysian taxation including corporate, indirect, transfer pricing and international tax matters.
• Experience in managing tax audits, disputes and stakeholder engagements.
• Ability to provide technical guidance to tax and finance teams and drive process improvements.

Responsabilités

• Manage tax compliance for operating units, including corporate tax, indirect tax, transfer pricing and foreign tax
• Review tax returns, tax computations, transfer pricing documentation, and related schedules to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Prepare tax advisory support on business transactions and identify tax planning opportunities to optimize tax outcomes
• Assess and manage tax risks and recommend practical solutions to support business objectives
• Lead tax audits, investigations, appeals and engagements with tax authorities and external advisors
• Provide technical guidance to tax and finance teams and drive continuous process improvements
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of tax-related matters and reporting requirements
• Maintain tax data and support tax analytics initiatives
