Job summary

KPJ Selangor Specialist Hospital is seeking an experienced legal professional to support the Head of Legal & Advisory and the Unit Head. The role focuses on corporate, banking and subsidiary matters, ensuring the group’s legal rights are protected while mentoring a team of legal professionals and driving governance and compliance across departments.

Qualifications

LL.B from a recognized institution or equivalent.
LL.M (optional) with specialization in Corporate, Commercial or International Law.
Advanced Exec Programs / MBA (optional) for leadership exposure.
Admission to the Malaysian Bar as Advocate and Solicitor is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Assist Head of Legal & Advisory and Unit Head in overseeing corporate, banking and subsidiary matters.
Lead, coach and mentor the legal team for collaboration and excellence.
Provide legal advice to ensure compliance with laws and governance requirements.
Negotiate, draft and review contracts and legal documents for KPJHB and group.
Communicate and negotiate with external parties when required.
Liaise with external counsel to manage litigation strategies and disputes.
Monitor ongoing litigation cases and prepare legal reports.
Represent Group Legal & Advisory in relevant committees.
Collaborate cross-functionally to provide legal guidance.
Identify legal risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Develop and implement company policies and procedures for compliance.
Oversee due diligence for transactions including mergers and acquisitions.
