KPJ Selangor Specialist Hospital is seeking a qualified lawyer to join its Group Legal & Advisory. The role involves supporting the Unit Head, overseeing operational legal matters such as contracts, REIT-related activities, lease renewals, land issues, and ISO compliance, to safeguard the group's rights.

You will provide legal guidance across departments, draft and negotiate agreements, coordinate with external counsel on litigation, conduct due diligence, and deliver legal training.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from a recognized institution; local or foreign.
• LL.M (optional) with specialization in corporate, commercial, or international law.
• Advanced executive programs / MBA (optional) for leadership and business exposure.
• Admission to the Malaysian Bar as an Advocate and Solicitor is an advantage.

Aufgaben

• Assist the Unit Head in overseeing the Group Legal & Advisory's functions relating to operational matters such as REITs, lease renewals, and land matters.
• Provide legal advice to KPJ Selangor Specialist Hospital and group companies to ensure compliance with laws and governance.
• Negotiate, draft and review contracts and agreements for operational matters and their implementation.
• Liaise with external counsel to manage litigation strategy including dispute resolution.
• Prepare and update relevant legal reports and conduct due diligence for operations.
• Coordinate legal training for internal and external parties and attend meetings with management and authorities.
• Execute other general legal duties as instructed.

Jobbeschreibung

• Advice and assist to the best of its ability to ensure KPJHB and its group of companies’ legal rights are protected.
• Assist the Unit Head in overseeing and managing the Group Legal & Advisory’s functions and activities in relation to operational matters including but not limited to REITs sale and lease back, lease renewal, renovation, land matter and ISO to ensure KPJHB and its group of companies’ legal rights are protected.
• Assist the Unit Head to provide legal advice to KPJHB and its group of companies on operational matters to ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations and corporate governance requirements.
• Assist the Unit Head to negotiate, draft and review contracts, agreements and other legal documents with regards to operational contract including its implementation for KPJHB and its group of companies.
• Assist the Unit Head to communicate and negotiate with external parties on operational matters, if required.
• Liaise with external counsel to manage litigation matters effectively, including dispute resolution and litigation strategy, for KPJHB and its group of companies.
• Monitor the on-going litigation cases.
• Member for the relevant committee in KPJHB and its group of companies as representative of the Legal & Advisory.
• Prepare and update the relevant legal report.
• Assist the Unit Head to collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to provide legal guidance and support on various matters.
• Assist the Unit Head to manage the legal due diligence exercise for operational matters.
• Conduct legal research and keep abreast of development and updates in relevant laws and regulations applicable to KPJHB and its group of companies.
• Attending meetings and discussions with the management of KPJHB and its group of companies, external lawyers, relevant authorities and external parties to discuss, resolve or finalise any issues.
• Provide legal support in relation to KPJHB and its group of companies day to day operations and implementation of agreements.
• Conduct and coordinate legal training to internal and external parties.
• Attending to all other general legal duties.
• Execute any work as and when instructed by the Head of Legal & Advisory and Unit Head in the Group Legal & Advisory.

Discipline / Professional Certification :

• Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from a recognized institution (local or foreign) or an equivalent degree in a related field.
• Master of Laws (LL.M) (optional) – Specialization in areas such as Corporate Law, Commercial Law, or International Law.
• Advanced Executive Programs / MBA (optional) – For leadership and business management exposure.
• Admission to the Malaysian Bar as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya is an advantage
