Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a Group Chief Technology Officer to shape the technology direction and turn technology into a strategic enabler for growth, efficiency and innovation.

The CTO will align business strategy with technology execution, lead the technology team, oversee risk, governance and cybersecurity, and drive digital transformation across the Group to deliver secure, scalable and cost-effective technology solutions.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field; postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
• 10+ years of technology experience, with strong senior leadership exposure.
• Strong background in technology strategy, infrastructure, software, cybersecurity and emerging technologies.
• Proven experience leading technology-driven business transformation.
• Strong strategic, commercial and problem-solving mindset.
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.

• Develop and execute the Group Technology Strategy and roadmap aligned with business objectives.

We are looking for a Group Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to shape the company's technology direction and turn technology into a strategic enabler for growth, efficiency and innovation.

Why does this job exist and why is it critical?

As the Group continues to grow, we need a technology leader who can connect business strategy with technology execution.

The CTO will work closely with the Managing Director, Executive Director and senior leadership to strengthen our technology capabilities, modernise systems, manage technology risks and identify opportunities for innovation across the Group. This reflects the strategic and Board-facing scope of the existing role.

Job Summary

Lead the Group's technology strategy, infrastructure, systems and technology team while ensuring our technology investments are secure, scalable, cost-effective and aligned with business priorities.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute the Group Technology Strategy and roadmap aligned with business objectives.

Drive digital transformation, innovation and adoption of emerging technologies across the Group.

Oversee technology infrastructure, systems and architecture to ensure reliability, scalability and security.

Strengthen cybersecurity, technology risk, governance and compliance.

Identify opportunities to improve business efficiency through technology and automation.

Manage technology budgets and optimise technology investments and resources.

Lead, develop and inspire the Group technology team.

Partner with business leaders to translate business needs into practical technology solutions.

Communicate technology strategy, priorities and risks effectively to senior management and the Board.

These responsibilities build directly from the existing CTO mandate covering technology strategy, team leadership, emerging technology, infrastructure, budgets, risk and senior stakeholder management.

What do you need to succeed?

Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field; postgraduate qualification is an advantage.

10+ years of technology experience, with strong senior leadership exposure.

Strong background in technology strategy, infrastructure, software, cybersecurity and emerging technologies.

Proven experience leading technology-driven business transformation.

Strong strategic, commercial and problem-solving mindset.

Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate technology clearly to non-technical leaders.
