Job summary

Plexus Manufacturing Sdn Bhd in Penang, Malaysia, invites engineers to join a team focused on design services and product development for commercialisation. You will concept, design, verify and document engineering solutions in line with Plexus processes, with emphasis on delivering high-quality, cost-efficient outcomes.

The role welcomes candidates with a bachelor’s in engineering and 0–1 year of related experience, and offers opportunities to grow within a global engineering network.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required; a higher degree is preferred.
• Less than 1 year of related experience is required; 1+ years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops engineering/product concepts that are high quality and cost-appropriate, meeting customer requirements.
• Executes responsibilities in line with Plexus' engineering process.
• Understands the full value stream (Conceptualize, Design, Commercialize, Manufacture, Fulfill, Sustain) as it applies to the role.
• Uses appropriate tools and equipment for design work including creation, analysis, and verification.
• Produces comprehensive project documentation per project needs and quality/change procedures.

Job description

Purpose Statement: To perform engineering design services and other related product development and/or product commercialization services. Please refer to discipline core skills for specifics.

Key Job Accountabilities:

• Develops engineering/product concepts that are high-quality, cost-appropriate, and satisfy the customer's requirements.
• Successfully executes responsibilities in adherence to Plexus' engineering process.
• Demonstrates a clear, discipline-specific understanding of the full value stream (Conceptualize, Design, Commercialize, Manufacture, Fulfill, Sustain) as it applies to their role.
• Utilizes appropriate tools and equipment to perform necessary design work including design creation, design analysis, and design verification.
• Produces comprehensive project documentation based on the needs of the project and in accordance with the quality and change management procedures and guidelines.

Education/Experience Qualifications:

• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required; a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or higher is preferred.
• Less than One (1) year of related experience is required; One (1) or more years of related experience is preferred.
