Job summary

VAT Vakuumventile AG in Malaysia (Penang) invites a Design Engineer (Mechatronics) to lead product controller design and customization for high-performance vacuum valves. You will own controller development, BOM, software/parameter files, and collaborate with HQ mechatronic engineers and field teams.

You will validate designs, support production and customers, read circuit diagrams, and help advance core competencies within the Product Engineering department.

Qualifications

• Masters/PhD in Electrical or Mechatronics is required.
• Ability to read circuit diagrams and electrical drawings.
• Good communication in English and team player.
• Experience with vacuum industry or automation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead product controller design and customization for new/updated valves.
• Industrialization-design for Malaysia production and lifecycle support.
• Coordinate BOM preparation and software packages.
• Support production and field applications; collaborate with HQ engineers; document findings.
