Job summary

IEC Plant Engineering Sdn Bhd is seeking fresh graduates to join its design team in Shah Alam, with opportunities across electrical, mechanical and chemical engineering disciplines. You will engage in CAD drafting, review of drawings and documentation, and support QA/QC activities in a dynamic, international environment.

The ideal candidate holds a relevant engineering degree and exhibits strong English communication, analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a willingness to learn

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
• 1 year of experience in QA/QC, Procurement, Design, or Production.
• SPM A+ in English, Additional Mathematics and Physics (mandatory).
• Good written and spoken English for international business.

Job description

We are an established engineering company specialising in the design and manufacture of process equipment for industrial applications. In line with our continued expansion, we are looking for fresh graduate who is passionate in engineering design and academically outstanding to join our design team.

This role is suitable for candidates who are serious about building a long-term career in engineering design and who are keen to gain practical exposure across mechanical, electrical and chemical engineering disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Engineering design and drafting using CAD / Autodesk Inventor;
• Preparation and review of technical drawings and engineering documentation;
• Quality Control and Quality Assurance activities;
• Coordination with production, engineering and project teams;
• Project management support from design stage through to manufacturing and delivery;
• Continuous improvement of engineering design, production and quality processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering;
• Strong interest in multidiscipline engineering, including chemical, electrical and mechanical design;
• Minimum one (1) year of working experience in QA/QC, Procurement, Design, or Production;
• SPM results of A+ in English, Additional Mathematics and Physics are mandatory;
• Good written and spoken English, with the ability to work in an international business environment;
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability;
• Able to work independently in a demanding and multitasking environment;
• Computer literate and willing to learn engineering design software;
• Possess own transport and a valid driving licence;
• Candidate must currently reside within a 25km radius from the company’s location or be willing to relocate to within a 5km radius;
• Malaysian citizens only.
