Job summary

XSD International Paper Sdn Bhd in Kedah, Malaysia seeks an experienced Steam Engineer to manage and oversee the steam boilers, ensuring safe operation, efficiency and adherence to preventive maintenance and water treatment.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering, 4 years of relevant experience, and a DOSH Grade 2 Steam Engineer certification, with willingness to relocate to Padang Serai Kulim. Bahasa Malaysia and English are required with Mandarin an added advantage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering (Chemical/Clectrical..), or related fields.
• At least 4 years of working experience in steam boiler related field.
• Certified Grade 2 Steam Engineer certification from DOSH.
• Willingness to relocate to Padang Serai Kulim, Kedah.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee steam boiler operation, focusing on efficiency, safe operation and preventive maintenance of boilers and water treatment.
• Be present at every regular inspection of the machinery and other inspections as required by a supervisor.
• Implement a new plan to achieve better results in line with quality standards.
• Establish, review and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for boiler operation based on manufacturer recommendations.
• Ensure safe and economical operation of boiler units and auxiliary equipment under company regulations (FMA 1967, OSHA 1994, environmental rules).

Job description

Manage and oversee the steam boilers operation including, maintaining the efficiency, safe operation and effective preventive maintenance of boilers operation and boiler water treatment.

To be present at every regular inspection of the machinery and at such other inspections thereof as an Inspector may require.

Implement a new plan to ensure better results in accordance with the quality standards.

Establish, review & maintain Standard Operating Procedures for boiler operation based on manufacturer’s recommended operating.

Familiar with safe working procedures, maintenance procedure and operating procedures based on company regulation,FMA 1967, OSHA 1994 and Environmental Quality (Clean Air) Regulations) 2014”., and be responsible for the safe and economical operation of boiler units and auxiliary equipment.

Job Requirements:

Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Engineering (Chemical), Engineering (Electrical/Electronic), Engineering (Material Science), Engineering (Others), Engineering (Petroleum/Oil/Gas) or equivalent.

Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin (Added Advantage), English

At least 4 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.

Required Skill(s): At least 2 years of working experience as a Steam Engineer or Steam Boiler Attendant (directly handling Boiler),

Candidate must possess the Certified Grade 2 Steam Engineer Certification from DOSH.

Candidate must be willing to recolate to Padang Serai Kulim, Kedah.
