Job summary

MKS Instruments, Inc. is seeking a Rapid Response Team Coordinator to lead daily shortage mitigation activities and ensure clear visibility and action on critical supply constraints. You will manage priorities, coordinate escalation paths, and drive disciplined execution across multiple regions and business units.

The role requires ownership mindset, strong communication, and the ability to work across contract manufacturers, distributors, brokers, and internal teams. 20% travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, materials management, supplier management, electronics sourcing, or shortage mitigation.
• Experience with Contract Manufacturers, distributors, manufacturers, brokers, or electronic component suppliers.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to translate shortage data into action plans.
• Experience using shortage tracking tools like Smartsheet and RAIL; ERP/Oracle/SAP knowledge is a plus.
• APICS, CPIM, Six Sigma or related certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate shortage mitigation activities across Contract Manufacturers, distributors, brokers, procurement, planning, engineering, quality, and business units.
• Drive fast, transparent communication between internal customers and suppliers to minimize impact.
• Maintain shortage mitigation action plans with owner, due dates, status, and escalation actions.
• Lead daily/weekly shortage reviews and ensure recovery commitments.
• Prepare weekly updates and KPI summaries for executives.
