Job summary

Kenanga Investment Bank Berhad seeks a skilled broker to handle trade executions, provide investment advisory, and ensure strict adherence to regulatory requirements. You will support institutional and retail clients, record all instructions, and resolve disputes on a timely basis.

As a member of the KF dealing team, you will monitor risk, assist with roadshows, and contribute to client onboarding and market commentary initiatives. A finance-related degree and regulatory module pass are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Passed Module 16: Rules and Regulations.
• At least 2 years of experience in the broking industry.

Responsibilities

• Handle customer orders by providing best execution services in accordance with Kenanga Futures dealing procedures, while minimizing trading errors.
• Ensure all order instructions and confirmations are properly recorded via voice, written format, or electronic time-stamped systems for audit and retrieval purposes.
• Manage and resolve client trade disputes in a timely and professional manner.
• Maintain efficiency and responsiveness at the dealing desk in handling client inquiries and requests.
• Troubleshoot and provide immediate backup execution support for technical issues related to clients' computers, internet connectivity, or trading platforms.
• Provide helpdesk support and onboarding for clients and CFBR on the Kenanga Futures KDF Trade Active platform.
• Conduct training sessions for clients on the use of the trading platform.
• Research report/Daily Market Commentary outlook
• Produce daily market commentary and provide clients with market insights ("market colour") and relevant trading data.
• Extract relevant news, update market data, and assist in the distribution of daily market commentary.
• Advise clients on market direction based on analysis and prevailing market conditions.
• Escalate system outages to internal departments in relation to clients' technical issues in a timely manner.
• Monitor clients' positions, trading limits, and margin calls to effectively manage risk exposure.
• Resolve execution errors promptly and decisively to minimize potential losses, ensuring all cases are properly documented.
• Ensure all dealing activities comply with relevant rules, regulations, and compliance requirements, as well as established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) throughout the operation of the futures desk.
• Participate in assigned Kenanga Futures (KF) roadshows alongside team members to promote KF products and services.
• Contribute ideas for customer retention, loyalty, and growth initiatives.
• Conduct presentations at scheduled and ad hoc KF events.
• Continuously build and maintain relevant knowledge of the business and industry.
• Develop required competencies in line with the Individual Development Plan (IDP) and ensure alignment with industry standards and best practices.
