Job summary

MKS Inc. in Penang, Malaysia, is seeking a Global Supplier Manager to partner with Engineering, Procurement and Sourcing to refine the machining supply base strategy.

You will be the single point of contact for key strategic suppliers and drive cost, lead times, and performance improvements. The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years in supplier management for machining, with expertise in Oracle or SAP procurement modules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, business, or supply chain.
• 5+ years of supplier management experience in machining.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine machining category strategy.
• Be single point of contact for key strategic globally managed machining suppliers.
• Improve supply chain efficiency and solve dynamic problems.
• Negotiate lowest total cost of ownership/best price, OTD, lead times, customer satisfaction, and agility.
• Manage master supply agreement construction from templates, conduct contract reviews, negotiate, execute, monitor and update agreements.
• Manage global supplier performance using scorecards, conduct quarterly supplier performance and business reviews.
• Lead dual sourcing, resourcing and new supplier identification/introduction to achieve company’s business continuity strategy.
• Communicate category strategy, risk mitigation plans and improvement ideas to key stakeholders.
• Apply oversight and monitor projects associated with assigned key strategic suppliers.
• Support sourcing activities and new supplier introduction.
• Travel Requirements: Up to 25% of Travel is required.
