Job summary

Evonik Industries AG offers an 18‑month IT trainee program across multiple locations, giving you a comprehensive insight into IT functions and active participation in diverse IT projects as a full team member.

You will be mentored by experienced colleagues, attend workshops and seminars, and have opportunities for international exposure. The program aims to develop your technical and methodological skills and may lead to permanent roles within the Evonik Group.

Qualifications

• Completed degree in economics or computer science, AI, Big Data, ML, Robotic and Automation, Data Science (preferably Master’s).
• Gained initial practical IT experience through internships or working student activities.
• International mobility through initial experience abroad is a plus.
• Fluency in English; German language is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to develop creative solutions.
• Entrepreneurial thinking, responsibility, and open-mindedness are valued.

Responsibilities

• Participate in IT functions across Digitalization Strategy, Demand IT, IT Products and Delivery IT to Data & Analytics.
• Contribute to topics like Cyber Security, Cloud, and Supply Chain Operations.
• Gain insight into operational business and understand strategic IT aspects.
• Assist in preparation of management reports and support decision-making committees.
• Take on independent IT tasks after an initial period.
• Build a Group-wide international network by working at different locations.
• Support Evonik’s digital transformation through various initiatives.
• Grow strengths by expanding responsibility area.
• Receive mentorship from experienced managers and collaborate with other trainees.
