Job summary

PEC SE ASIA SDN BHD in Penang, Malaysia, seeks a hands-on IT Infrastructure & Security Manager to define and support global IT systems enabling PEC to deliver and scale battery manufacturing solutions worldwide.

The role reports to the COO for Southeast Asia, requires travel to international PEC sites, ITIL familiarity, and strong leadership across SAP, CAD, and Microsoft environments.

Qualifications

• Master degree with an IT background.
• Minimum 5 years hands-on experience in IT infrastructure and network architecture in an international environment.
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale applications; SAP knowledge a plus.
• Familiarity with engineering CAD systems and their infrastructure and performance requirements.
• Strong experience in service management, ITIL knowledge is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
• Willingness to travel internationally on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

• Develop a highly reliable, secure, and efficient IT architecture upgrade, aligned with our business, engineering, and manufacturing needs.
• Provide technical leadership for reliable and secure enterprise application connectivity, including SAP, CAD platforms, and Microsoft environments.
• Protection of company IP through advanced security systems and measures on a global scale.
• Troubleshoot complex, multi‑layer infrastructure and application performance issues across geographically distributed sites
• Continually improve, harmonize and standardize global IT processes, service levels, monitoring, and operational excellence
• Lead infrastructure lifecycle planning, modernization, and global improvement initiatives
• Travel regularly to international sites to support deployments, assessments, and technical coordination
