Job summary

PEC is seeking an IT Infrastructure & Security Manager to lead the upgrade and support of our global IT and network infrastructure from our Penang, Malaysia base. The role reports to the COO for Southeast Asia and requires hands-on leadership to deliver secure, high-performance systems across PEC’s international sites.

You will drive ERP connectivity (SAP), CAD platforms, and Microsoft environments while ensuring reliability, security, and ITIL-aligned service management.

Qualifications

• Master Degree with an IT background.
• Minimum 5 years hands-on experience in IT infrastructure and network architecture in an international environment.
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale applications, knowledge of SAP is a plus.
• Familiarity with engineering CAD systems and their infrastructure and performance requirements
• Strong experience in service management, including incident, problem, and change management. Knowledge of best practices like ITIL is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Willingness to travel internationally on a regular basis

• Lead infrastructure lifecycle planning, modernization, and global improvement initiatives
• Travel regularly to international sites to support deployments, assessments, and technical coordination

To (re) design, implement, and support a secure, and high-performance upgrade of our IT and network infrastructure across all PEC operations, worldwide, supporting business, engineering and manufacturing needs in a rapidly growing, highly demanding environment. The position is based in Penang, Malaysia and reports directly to the COO for Southeast Asia.

We are looking for a hands‑on professional, passionate about reliability, efficiency, security, and modern best practices in IT, including frameworks such as ITIL. Regular global travel to international PEC sites is required.
