Job summary

Quectel Wireless Solutions Penang Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a hardware engineer to support costing BOMs, requirements capture, and development of complete product definitions.

You will work across system architecture, hardware function implementation, and performance metrics while coordinating with cross-functional teams. The role requires familiarity with USB, MIPI, SPI, LVDS, eDP, HDMI, PCIe and Ethernet, with travel locally and internationally as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in electronics or a related field.
• 3–5 years hardware engineering experience.
• Familiar with hardware, software and testing across the product development lifecycle.
• Knowledge of interface circuits and technologies including USB, MIPI, SPI, LVDS, eDP, HDMI, PCIe, Ethernet and sensors.

Responsibilities

• Assist the project team in preparing precise costing BOMs for customer products.
• Collect and identify customer requirements and present solutions as the project interface.
• Define product design specifications across system architecture, hardware function and performance metrics.
• Organize hardware solutions and guide hardware engineers in project development.
• Coordinate with departments to resolve system engineering issues during development.
• Stay informed on industry trends and support introducing new functions and technologies.
