Job summary

Standard Chartered in Malaysia seeks a senior Communications and Brand & Marketing leader to shape and execute the annual plan across internal and external audiences. You will lead content creation, drive media relations, and ensure brand consistency with Group guidelines.

You will manage internal newsletters, townhalls and employee engagement programs, collaborating with regional teams to deliver measurable outcomes while upholding the Bank's values and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• University graduate in communications or related business or banking degree.
• Excellent spoken and written command of the English language.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and evaluate annual communications plan across SCBM's and SCSM's audiences.
• Lead content generation to engage audiences and drive measurable action.
• Manage development, distribution and maintenance of internal newsletters and broadcasts.
• Coordinate townhalls and employee engagement programs.
• Track and measure employee engagement over time.
• Manage media relationships and secure strategic interviews during milestones.
• Proactively pitch story ideas to the media aligned with strategic agenda.
• Prepare executives for interviews or speaking engagements.
• Maintain spokesperson list and organize training.
• Develop key messages and data to support strategic plans.
• Ensure compliance with communications policy in country.
• Collaborate with Group/Regional teams for coordinated approach.
• Supervise Communications team members.
