Job summary

SM2 Consulting is recruiting a Global Service Engineer for a leading semiconductor equipment maker. The role requires extensive global travel (up to 90%) across Taiwan, Singapore, Korea, Japan and the USA, servicing complex equipment in cleanroom environments.

You will install, commission, maintain, and upgrade machinery, diagnose issues on-site, and act as the client’s primary technical contact. Documentation and safety compliance are essential in this demanding position.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical/Mechatronics or related Engineering.
• 2 years of field service experience.
• Semiconductor equipment experience preferred but open to other industries that involve complex equipment/machineries.
• Willing to commit to high frequency travelling (90%).

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, maintain, and upgrade semiconductor manufacturing machinery.
• Diagnose complex electrical, mechanical, and software issues and perform repairs on-site.
• Act as the primary technical contact point for clients, providing on-site support to resolve equipment issues.
• Generate service reports, maintain maintenance logs, and update technical documentation.
• Adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations while working in cleanroom environments.
