Job summary

Agensi Pekerjaan Reeracoen Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a design engineer to lead product design and development, focusing on 3D CAD modeling and manufacturability for cost-effective products.

You will create CAD models and drawings, lead design reviews, coordinate with TOTO Japan and overseas teams, and ensure DFM while supporting mold design, prototyping, and documentation across projects.

Qualifications

• Experience creating 3D CAD models and 2D drawings for new and existing products.
• Knowledge of mold design and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to lead design reviews and perform tolerance analysis.
• Experience coordinating with overseas teams and suppliers.
• Familiarity with DFM principles and design documentation.

Responsibilities

• Create, develop, and maintain 3D CAD models and 2D engineering drawings for new and existing products.
• Design plastic and mechanical components based on product specifications and engineering requirements.
• Lead design reviews and conduct design evaluation, verification, tolerance analysis, and interference checks.
• Coordinate technical discussions with overseas teams and group companies.
• Review mold designs and participate in mold trials, prototype evaluation, and product testing.
• Work with Manufacturing and Engineering teams to ensure design manufacturability (DFM) and resolve production issues.
• Support localization, VA/VE, cost reduction, and design change activities.
• Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, including BOM, drawings, CAD models, and design review documents.
• Coordinate with suppliers and overseas teams to monitor project schedules and development milestones.
• Contribute to design standardization, process improvement, and mentoring of junior engineers.
