Job summary

Cisco is seeking a Global Component Planner in Penang to own end-to-end supply planning for a specific commodity, ensuring continuity and revenue targets. You will collaborate with Supply Chain Operations and regional partners to design integrated plans that balance demand and supply across the globe.

You will drive inventory decisions, mitigate shortages, manage E&O risks, and coordinate with Engineering, Hubs, Suppliers, SuCM, and cross-functional teams to support NPI ramp-ups and transitions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in materials management, supplier relationship management, or supply/demand planning.
• Experience with manufacturing processes and procedures.
• Experience with data analysis, data analytics and data modeling.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute end‑to‑end global supply plans for related commodities.
• Own inventory decision‑making aligned with Weeks of Supply strategy and financial goals.
• Proactively identify and resolve component shortages with regional partners and suppliers.
• Manage Excess & Obsolescence risks to maximize revenue.
• Collaborate with Global Supplier Management and external vendors on commodity strategies.
• Lead responses to New Product Introductions (NPI) and technology transitions with cross-functional teams.
• Drive alignment across Finance and Business Units for resilient supply planning.
