Job summary

Jardine Schindler Group (JSG) seeks a driven Global Business Services General Accounting - Analyst in Malaysia. You will own month-end close, assist analysts, and ensure accurate financial reporting within a shared services setup.

Collaboration with multiple functions and adherence to SOPs are essential. The role requires a Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance or professional qualifications (ACCA/CPA/CIMA) and at least 3 years in accounting within a shared services context.

Qualifications

• Detail oriented candidate with strong analytical skills.
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent.
• ACCA/CPA/CIMA qualification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform month-end/quarter-end/year-end GL close activities per SOPs.
• Provide guidance to analysts in daily tasks and month-end close.
• Meet SLA/KPI targets in Enterprise Service Management (ESM).
• Prepare reporting and perform analytical review of financial statements.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, AP, AR, TR to ensure smooth month-end close.
• Process journals with timely information and ensure policy compliance.
• Support operating companies by generating reports on demand.
• Maintain GL data integrity through balance sheet reconciliations.
• Record fixed asset acquisitions and disposals in accounting system.
• Prepare SST/GST/VAT/WHT reports and ensure timely submission.
• Reconcile and analyze intercompany accounts.
• Assist internal and external auditors as required.
• Participate in ad hoc projects and migrations.
• Perform CIT, DT, DTA & DTL calculations where applicable.
• Adhere to safety rules and report incidents.
