PPG Industries in Malaysia is seeking a GL Accounting Specialist to ensure accurate booking and reversals of accruals for the location, reporting to the Assistant Manager – General Ledger Accounting. You will manage account analysis, perform month-end journals, and drive efficiency while ensuring compliance with GAAP and local regulations.

The role requires a Diploma in Accounting with 2+ years in GL, proficiency in MS Office, ERP exposure (Oracle/SAP preferred), and Mandarin/English/Bahasa

Qualifications

• Diploma in Accounting with at least 2 years of working experience in GL accounting
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• ERP experience – Oracle/SAP would be of added advantage
• Experience with MNC or public listed company
• Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia, English and Mandarin (both verbal and written)
• Inventive and a phenomenal teammate!

Responsabilités

• Manage the analysis of accounts according to business requirements
• Handle Month end closing journals
• Increase efficiency and streamlining finance process flow.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, financial policies and statutory requirements.
• Account reconciliations in line with corporate guidelines
• Preparation of books in US and local GAAP
• Other ad-hoc requests as vital
