Job summary

Monroe Consulting Group is partnering with a Malaysia-based organisation in the Industrial sector to hire a General Ledger (GL) Accountant. You will support financial reporting, tax compliance, and cash flow forecasting in a dynamic, multinational environment.

The role focuses on journals, reconciliations, fixed assets, and process improvements, with collaboration across Commercial, Business Development, and Project teams to meet objectives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience working in an MNC environment is highly desirable.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).
• High computer literacy.
• Experience in financial reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, fixed asset management, tax compliance, and cash flow forecasting.

Responsibilities

• Perform journals and update monthly financial reports/analysis.
• Prepare monthly balance sheet schedules/reconciliations.
• Manage the Accounting Fixed Asset Register.
• Prepare local tax compliance.
• Develop initiatives to improve processes and identify efficiencies.
• Cash flow management - forecasting.
• Respond to audit and tax queries.
• Ensure neat and organised filing of all finance/legal related documentation.
• Work closely with other functional teams to achieve task objectives.
• Ad hoc support to Finance team that may be assigned from time to time.
