Job summary

SWM Environment Sdn Bhd is seeking a GIS/Geomatics professional for ground survey planning, drone flight planning, and data management in Johor Bahru. You will develop GCPs to ensure image accuracy, transfer GNSS/Drone data, and process drone imagery while maintaining up-to-date spatial data in ArcGIS Enterprise.

Travel and driving license are required. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in GIS/Geomatics or related fields and at least 2 years of experience with ArcGIS and GPS devices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in GIS/Geomatics/Environment/Remote Sensing Planning/Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of working experience in the related field.
• Knowledge in GIS software especially ArcGIS ESRI and other mapping products.
• Knowledge in Microsoft Excel 2013 onwards and its functions i.e. Vlookup, Pivot table etc.
• Knowledge in handling GPS devices. Willing to travel and possess own transport with valid driving license.

Responsibilities

• Plan ground survey and joint verification for new areas, or existing areas (using Drone / GPS / measurement tape).
• Prepare flight planning for drone and confirmed by team lead.
• Develop ground control point (GCP) to maintain drone image accuracy.
• Transfer data from GNSS/Drone to desktop with proper filling.
• Process drone image.
• Cleaning and checking measurement devices (measurement tape, GNSS, Ipad tablet, etc.) workability.
• Update tracking Drone & Survey.
• Special task e.g. Inspectorate, remeasurement on existing areas for clarification on issues from spatial team.
• Update/report on work done/issues to superior.
• Assist in cleaning raw data as and when required.
• Update latest spatial data and attribute to ArcGIS Enterprise using Field Map.
