Job summary

Lynas Rare Earths Malaysia invites a Geotechnical Engineer to join the Radiation Safety Department (By-Product) at LAMP, Kuantan. You will analyse, design, and supervise foundations and earthworks to ensure stable by-product storage facilities.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's in Geotechnical/Civil Engineering with 2–5 years of civil construction experience and proficiency in PLAXIS and SLOPE/W, plus Bahasa Malaysia and English fluency. Willingness to work in Kuantan is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical/Civil Engineering with 2–5 years of civil construction experience.
• Proficient in PLAXIS and SLOPE/W software for geotechnical analysis and design.
• Positive attitude toward responsibility and tasks.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills across cultures.
• Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English; additional languages a plus.
• Willing to work in Kuantan, Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed geotechnical analysis and design for deep/shallow foundations, retaining systems, embankments, and slope stabilization works.
• Plan and interpret soil investigation data to establish reliable geotechnical parameters and recommendations.
• Monitor geotechnical instrumentation systems during and after construction.
• Prepare design reports, calculations, and authority submission documents.
• Provide engineering justifications and feasibility studies for foundation and infrastructure layouts.
