Job summary

Geotechnica Sdn Bhd is seeking a responsible Geologist to conduct fieldwork, site investigations, sampling, and mapping, and to prepare reports and technical documents. You will assist in geotechnical, environmental, and related studies while coordinating with clients, consultants, and project teams.

The role requires a degree in Geology or related field, 3–5 years of experience, and the ability to work independently or in a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and GIS/AutoCAD is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in geological, geotechnical, environmental, or related fields is an advantage.
• Suitable for Intermediate to Senior Geologist.
• Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication, coordination, and report writing skills.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Familiar with geological mapping, fieldwork, and reporting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of GIS, AutoCAD, or geological software is an advantage.
• Possess own transport and travel willingness for site work.

Responsibilities

• Conduct geological fieldwork, site investigations, sampling, and mapping.
• Prepare geological reports, technical documents, and project submissions.
• Assist in geotechnical, soil, rock, slope, and environmental studies.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, laboratories, authorities, and project teams.
• Attend site visits, inspections, meetings, and field activities.
• Monitor fieldwork progress and ensure technical requirements are met.
• Follow company procedures, safety requirements, and relevant regulations.
• Work with environmental, engineering, and technical teams on project activities.
• Maintain proper records, reports, and project documentation.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Management.
