Job summary

JP Caliber in Malaysia (Puchong) is seeking an AI Engineer to join an innovative AI team focused on Generative AI, LLMs, and intelligent automation. The role involves R&D, building AI-powered solutions, and collaborating with customers to deliver impactful AI applications.

Responsibilities include developing AI pipelines, fine-tuning LLMs, and engaging with cross-functional teams to translate AI capabilities into scalable software. English proficiency required; Mandarin/Cantonese is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, AI, ML, Data Science or related field.
• 2–5 years of AI Engineering, ML/NLP experience with hands-on deployment.
• Strong Python programming skills and experience with ML frameworks.
• Familiarity with vector databases (Pinecone, Milvus, Weaviate, FAISS).
• Experience building AI prototypes or R&D projects; exposure to pre-sales adds value.
• Excellent English; Mandarin/Cantonese helpful for HK team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct R&D to design, prototype and develop innovative AI solutions.
• Build Generative AI apps using LLMs, RAG, AI agents, and NLP capabilities.
• Design and optimize AI pipelines for information retrieval and automation.
• Develop AI-powered solutions for user intent understanding and conversations.
• Fine-tune LLMs via prompt engineering and model improvements.
• Collaborate with software, product, and business teams to deliver scalable AI.
• Support pre-sales with demonstrations and technical proposals.
• Stay updated on AI research and industry trends.
