Job summary

Oxydata & TechTalent seeks an experienced General Manager — E-Waste Recycling & IT Asset Recovery to drive growth and operational excellence at the Penang Operations Center. You will oversee Malaysia and Southeast Asia, building strategic partnerships and ensuring compliant, profitable operations.

The role requires strong leadership, budget discipline, and a deep understanding of electronics recycling, data destruction, and asset disposition. Hybrid work model in Malaysia is supported.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any related discipline.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing, environmental recycling, or resource recovery.
• At least 5 years in a senior management role (General Manager / Operations Director / Regional Manager).
• Applicants must have the legal right to work in Malaysia. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
• Fluency in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing budgets, forecasts, and costs.

Responsibilities

• Lead business development to acquire new customers and expand recycling and IT asset recovery channels across Malaysia and Southeast Asia.
• Build partnerships with technology vendors, OEMs, and channel partners to secure opportunities for retired IT equipment.
• Oversee relationships with data centre operators, enterprise customers, and other stakeholders for IT asset disposition and recycling projects.
• Lead commercial negotiations, pricing strategies, and contract execution to ensure sustainable margins.
• Take full P&L responsibility for the Penang entity, including revenue and cost management.
• Ensure compliance with Malaysian environmental regulations, safety standards, and cross-border waste transportation requirements.
