Job summary

VTEB BAKER HUGHES SDN.BHD. seeks a Technical Project Engineer to join the Field Service Team.

You will support gas turbine systems on client sites, coordinating projects and outages with Project Managers and Engineering teams to ensure efficient operation and minimal downtime. The role involves travel to onshore and offshore sites and requires a degree in engineering with 1–5 years’ experience in engineering, power/oil & gas is a plus, and familiarity with heavy-duty gas turbines and related

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
• 1–5 years working experience in Engineering/Project/Plant Maintenance or Operation.
• Experience in Power/Oil & Gas industry is a plus.
• Experience with Heavy Duty Gas Turbine and/or Aero Derivative Gas Turbine, Compressors, Gearbox, and other turbomachinery is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical support for gas turbine equipment and outages.
• Coordinate and plan service activities, including scope of work for projects and outages.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and Engineering teams to ensure safe, on-time execution.
• Liaise with customers to address technical issues and improve operation performance.
