Job summary

FieldCore Service Solutions International seeks an entry-level Technical Field Advisor (TFA) in Malaysia as part of the Field Engineering Program (FEP). You will gain hands-on experience, learning from seasoned TFAs and completing in-person and online training, on-the-job coaching, and leadership development while traveling to sites to support installation, maintenance and warranty work.

Upon graduation from the FEP, you may progress to a TFA role, with emphasis on safety, technical reporting,

Qualifications

• Technical/University degree or equivalent field experience.
• Min 3+ years in field services or power generation equipment maintenance.
• Strong ability to read electrical and mechanical diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Manage, perform and coordinate site activities.
• Install equipment on site and perform preventive maintenance, repair and calibration.
• Respond to emergency repairs and services.
• Provide technical instruction to customer representatives on installation, operation and maintenance.
• Prepare technical reports, order materials, secure quotations and track time/expenses.
• Sign off on all changes implemented.
• Drive customer satisfaction through commitment to quality.
• Maintain safety mindset and comply with GE safety standards.
• Troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance checkout across equipment range.
• Coach, mentor and train team members on field engineering and product knowledge.
• Prepare timely and accurate technical reports for records.
• Ensure all parts are shipped to the site.
• Perform walk-downs during installation to verify contractor work.
• Perform aftermarket upgrades at site level.
• Be available to work holidays, weekends and overtime as required.
• Extensive travel to project sites and field assignments.
• May be assigned other duties to support FieldCore goals.
• Manage and develop employees as needed.
