Job summary

Maxim Textile Technology Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Garment Merchandiser to manage the full merchandising process from product development and costing through bulk production and shipment. The candidate should have strong knowledge of garment construction, fabric and trims, costing, sample development, production follow-up, and buyer communication.

The role requires independent work, multi-style handling, and tight timelines with coordination across buyers, factories, fabric mills,

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years' garment merchandising experience.
Independent handling of development and bulk orders.
Strong garment costing and fabric knowledge.
Experience with fabric mills, trims suppliers, garment factories.
Understanding of T&A, WIP and production planning.
Strong buyer communication and problem-solving skills.
Proficient English and Excel skills.
Ability to manage multiple styles under tight deadlines.
US/UK buyers or major retail brand experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Product development and buyer communication from inquiry to order confirmation.
Costing: fabric consumption, trims, CM/CMT, washing, printing, embroidery.
Fabric and trim management with mills and suppliers.
Order and production follow-up through shipment, critical path, and recovery if delays.
Shipment coordination with factory/logistics and ensuring timely delivery.
