Job summary

Royal Bank of Canada in Malaysia is seeking an Analyst to manage position balancing for Futures, Cleared Derivatives, and related money flows. You will ensure accurate reporting, coordinate with exchanges and brokers, and support regulatory compliance within a dynamic, global operations framework.

The role requires knowledge of clearing, reconciliations, control, and regulatory reporting, with a futures/options background.

Qualifications

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related discipline.
Basic knowledge of Clearing, Reconciliations, Control, Regulatory Reporting, and Operational Risk Management.
Basic knowledge of RBC and vendor back/middle office systems.
Detail oriented.
Futures and Options background.
Nice-to-have understanding of financial markets and related flows.
Knowledge of Client On-Boarding, KYC and regulatory reporting requirements is a plus.
Recognised industry qualifications such as CISI or Eurex Clearing QBO are a plus.

Responsibilities

Balance RBCCM's futures and options positions and money with exchanges and carry brokers.
Balance RBCCM's IRS positions and money to member exchanges.
Provide exercise/assignment coverage notifications for options.
Monitor and adjust positions at exchanges for balancing, including large trader.
Handle T+1 trade queries.
Work with Global Operations, FO Sales, Trading partners and clients.
Contribute to industry projects, system upgrades and new initiatives.
