Job summary

atQuest Solution Sdn Bhd is seeking a Functional Consultant or Business Analyst to analyse clients' requirements and provide functional expertise to implement software solutions. The role involves working with clients and development teams to identify requirements, design solutions, configure and test software.

The Functional Consultant must have strong business analysis skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work collaboratively with technical teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT-related fields or equivalent is required.
• Strong business analysis, communication and interpersonal skills.
• 5+ years in functional consulting or business analysis in a vendor environment (senior).

Responsibilities

• Analyse clients' business requirements and provide functional expertise.
• Collaborate with clients and development teams to identify requirements and design solutions.
• Prepare documents such as business blueprints, functional specs and test scripts.
• Conduct workshops, user trainings, and assist in UAT and support.

Job description

As a Functional Consultant or Business Analyst, you will be responsible for analysing clients' business requirements and providing functional expertise to implement software solutions. The role involves working with clients and development teams to identify requirements, design solutions, configure and test software. The Functional Consultant must have strong business analysis skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work collaboratively with technical teams.

Responsibilities:

Perform business processes and requirements analysis and prepare related documentation.

Communicate with clients on various levels to obtain the necessary understanding on the business processes and requirements.

Produce documents such as business blueprint documents, functional specifications documents, process flow diagrams, testing scripts and training materials.

Prepare and conduct workshops for training, presentation, system demonstration, etc.

Plan and conduct user acceptance tests and trainings to end users and provide application support.

Apply structured problem-solving skills to evaluate problems, identify root causes, and come up with action plans and resolution options.

Effectively communicate plans, findings, suggestions, and/or ideas with cross-functional team members and clients.

Define implementation plan, monitor project progress, and conduct project status updates meeting for clients.

Provide domain knowledge and ongoing functional expertise to clients and provide workaround and suggestions on application issues.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Science & Technology, Social Science/Sociology, Business Studies/Administration/Management, equivalent or any IT related disciplines (Minimum bachelor or Post-graduate degrees)

Strong knowledge in computer industry, technology fields and software development.

Candidate with Macro Excel VBA experience

Strong proficiency in English and Malay language (written and spoken)

Highly motivated and able to work independently

Excellent communication and interpersonal skill

Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

For senior position, minimum 5 years’ working experience in functional consulting or business analysis inVendor environmentis a must.
