Job summary

Evonik Malaysia invites a seasoned FP&A professional to lead mid-term planning, forecasting and financial analysis across global functions. You will guide cross-functional teams, translate data into actionable insights, and prepare executive-grade reporting.

The role requires 7+ years in FP&A within complex environments, with strong Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP familiarity (Power BI/SAP preferred). This position offers growth in a multinational setting with regional scope.

Qualifications

• University degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accountancy, or related discipline.
• Professional certifications (CPA, ACCA, CFA) are an advantage.
• Minimum of 7 years in financial planning & analysis at group or regional level.
• Experience in multinational or complex organizational environments preferred.
• Strong analytical and communication skills with ability to translate data into insights.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with Power BI and SAP is a plus.
• Results-driven, able to balance strategy with execution and influence stakeholders.

Strategic Planning & Forecasting

• Lead mid-term planning across cost, revenue, and CAPEX for global functions at group/regional level.

• Develop cost management strategies, monitor spending, and identify savings opportunities.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Process Improvement

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process optimization and harmonization.
• Contribute to discussions and team meetings to align efforts with organizational objectives.
• Provide financial support for projects, integrating budget considerations and assessing financial impacts.

Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting

• Ensure quality and accuracy of information for executive presentations.
• Assist teams in understanding goals and priorities, supporting delivery of high-quality results for stakeholders.
• Present findings and insights in a clear, professional manner to enable informed decision-making.

REQUIREMENTS

• University degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accountancy, or a related discipline.
• Professional certifications (CPA, ACCA, CFA) are an advantage.
• Minimum of 7 years in financial planning & analysis, with proven exposure at group or regional level.
• Experience in multinational or complex organizational environments preferred.
• Strong conceptual and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into clear insights and actionable recommendations.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint etc. Familiarity with Power BI, SAP or other ERP systems is an advantage.
• Results-driven, adept at balancing strategic vision with operational execution, with the ability to execute deep dive analysis if required Ability to thrive in dynamic, cross-functional environments and influence stakeholders effectively. A collaborative team player who can also operate with a high level of autonomy/ independence, demonstrating accountability and a strong sense of responsibility.
