You will perform vision tests, fit contact lenses, and dispense eyeglasses while delivering expert advice on optical products to enhance patients' eye health and quality of life.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma in Optometry or Optical Dispensing, is registered as an Optician, and possesses strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Formal qualification or diploma in Optometry or Optical Dispensing.
• Valid professional registration or licensure as an Optician.
• Proficiency with optical equipment and clinic software systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail in dispensing eyeglasses and contact lenses.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct vision tests and eye examinations using modern optical equipment.
• Fit and dispense contact lenses and eyeglasses, ensuring proper fit and comfort.
• Interpret prescriptions from optometrists and ophthalmologists and dispense eyewear.
• Advise patients on frames, lenses, and optical products based on needs and lifestyle.
• Maintain patient records and document all optical services.
• Perform lens adjustments, repairs and maintenance on eyeglasses.
• Educate patients on care and maintenance of contact lenses and eyeglasses.
• Provide exceptional customer service and build relationships with patients.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional optical dispensary environment.
