Oh My Duck! in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to join our central kitchen. This full-time role supports head chefs, helps with prep, and maintains high kitchen hygiene standards to deliver exceptional dining experiences.

Ideal candidates have basic kitchen knowledge, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment. Compliance with safety and cleanliness protocols is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in a kitchen environment is preferred, but enthusiastic learners are welcome.
• Good understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting and juggle tasks.
• Strong attention to cleanliness and detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and organise ingredients, including washing, peeling, chopping and portioning.
• Assist chefs with food preparation under supervision.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen surfaces, equipment and storage.
• Washing and sanitising kitchen equipment according to food safety standards.
• Support stock management by receiving, storing and rotating ingredients.
• Assist with setup and breakdown of kitchen stations during service.
• Follow all food safety regulations to ensure a safe kitchen.
• Perform general kitchen duties and support the team during busy periods.
• Report equipment issues or safety concerns to senior staff.
