Job summary

• Practical knowledge of Linux servers, CI/CD workflows, deployments, and production monitoring.
• Experience with automated testing, debugging, application security, and performance optimisation.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance features using Next.js (TypeScript) and Python (FastAPI).
• Build and integrate REST APIs, payment gateways, and third-party services.

Your Role

You'll work directly with and report to our CTO, who leads system architecture, technical strategy, and infrastructure direction.

Your focus will be:

70% Full-Stack Development

- Develop, maintain, and enhance features using Next.js (TypeScript) and Python (FastAPI).

- Build and integrate REST APIs, payment gateways, and third-party services.

- Manage PostgreSQL databases, optimise queries, and troubleshoot performance issues.

- Debug production issues, write automated tests, and maintain secure, reliable code.

- Deliver features from development and testing through to deployment.

30% DevOps & Infrastructure Support

- Support Linux VPS infrastructure, production environments, and application deployments.

- Maintain CI/CD pipelines, deployment scripts, and basic automation.

- Monitor system uptime, logs, server health, and application performance.

- Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and support backups, recovery, and security maintenance.

- Work with the CTO to improve infrastructure reliability and scalability.

Proven experience developing, deploying, and maintaining production applications.
