Zusammenfassung

Rooftop Energy invites a Full-Stack Engineer to build GTM tools for the solar EPC team in Malaysia. You will craft systems to find, qualify and win rooftop projects, from lead screening to proposal delivery, while collaborating with Project Engineers weekly.

You will work on prospecting, automation, dashboards and data pipelines, using Python/JS, APIs and datasets. This role blends software with energy sales in a dynamic solar business.

Qualifikationen

  • A degree in engineering, computer science or related field, or equivalent evidence of what you have built.
  • You write code to get things done: Python or JavaScript/TypeScript, working with APIs, databases and messy spreadsheets.
  • Something you built on your own initiative and can show us: a side project, a scraper, an automation, a small app.
  • Comfortable cleaning, joining and scoring large, imperfect datasets, and building spreadsheet models others can check.
  • You use AI tools in your own work every day, and can explain where they help and where they fail.
  • Genuine interest in solar and how businesses buy it, and a willingness to learn electricity tariffs, return on investment and the commercial case quickly.
  • Clear written English, since much of the outreach you build will be in writing.

Aufgaben

  • Own the EPC team's GTM tooling. Build, run and maintain the tools that take a lead from first contact to a signed proposal, and decide with the Chief Engineer what to build next.
  • Prospecting and lead screening. Build prospect lists of commercial and industrial buildings across Malaysia from public data, company registries, industrial park listings and satellite imagery.
  • Rank them with a lead-screening tool that scores roof size, building type, tariff category and indicative system size.
  • Outreach automation. Build and run automated email and LinkedIn sequences; enrich decision makers' contact details and log replies.
  • Proposal automation. Build on the team's proposal tools: BOMs, financial models, roof-plan take-off and client deck.
  • Pipeline automation and reporting. Connect tools to the EPC Master Tracker and report on conversions by channel.

Jobbeschreibung

Position: Full-Stack Engineer (Go-To-Market)

Company: Rooftop Energy Tech Sdn Bhd

Department: EPC (Solar Installations)

Reports to: Chief Engineer (EPC)

Location: Damansara, Selangor

Type: Full-time

About the Group

Dyna (Dynasynergy Technology Sdn Bhd) was founded in 2002 and provides off-grid, solar-hybrid and grid-connected power solutions to telecommunications companies, state utilities and large industrials across Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah and Sarawak. Anchor customers include SESB, U Mobile, Maxis, Sarawak Digital Economy Corporation and the Royal Malaysian Navy. Certifications include Suruhanjaya Tenaga Class A, CIDB G7 and ISO 9001:2015.

Rooftop Energy, founded in 2025, is the solar arm of Altus Energy, the wider group that Dyna is also part of. It delivers commercial and industrial solar Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) projects and builds RooftopIQ, a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform where solar EPC teams run their projects and monitor installed systems.

The combined group has more than 70 staff across Shah Alam (HQ) and Kota Kinabalu.

About the Role

Rooftop Energy is hiring a full-stack engineer to build the go-to-market (GTM) tools of its solar EPC team. Internally the seat is called GTM Engineer.

The EPC team's Project Engineers design, sell and commission commercial and industrial rooftop solar systems. Most new projects reach them today through referrals. This role builds and runs the team's GTM tooling so they can find, qualify and win more of that work themselves: prospecting and lead screening, outreach automation, proposal automation and pipeline tracking. You write the code, run it on live deals with the Project Engineers and keep what wins work.

What You Will Do
  • Own the EPC team's GTM tooling.
Rank them with a lead-screening tool that scores roof size, building type, tariff category and indicative system size, so the Project Engineers spend their time on the sites most likely to proceed.
  • Outreach automation. Build and run automated email and LinkedIn sequences. Find and enrich decision makers' contact details, schedule follow-ups and log every reply and meeting without anyone copying it by hand. Test messaging and measure what gets replies.
  • Proposal automation. Build on the team's proposal tools: the automated bill of quantities and financial model, the roof-plan take-off that reads panel count, roof area and cable routes off a layout drawing, and the client proposal deck. Join them up so a site's inputs go in once and a checked proposal comes out.
  • Pipeline automation and reporting. Connect the tools to the EPC Master Tracker so every lead has a source, a stage, an owner and an estimated value, and report on what converts by channel.
  • Work alongside the Project Engineers every week. Sit in on site visits and customer meetings when useful, hear what slows a deal down, and turn it into the next tool or fix.
What We Are Looking For
Must have
  • A degree in engineering, computer science or a related field, or equivalent evidence of what you have built. Fresh graduates are welcome.
Good to have
  • Up to three years of experience in software engineering, growth engineering, sales operations or business-to-business (B2B) outbound sales
  • Experience with prospecting, data-enrichment or Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools such as Clay, Apollo or HubSpot, or workflow tools such as n8n
  • Experience generating documents, spreadsheets or slide decks from code
  • Experience with email-sending infrastructure and deliverability
  • Experience with geospatial data, satellite imagery or computer vision, for example detecting roofs or estimating roof area
  • Working knowledge of Malaysian commercial and industrial electricity tariffs or solar schemes
  • An engineering background in electrical, mechanical or renewable energy
Why Join Us
  • The first go-to-market engineering seat in the group. You set how the EPC team finds and wins work, and the tools you build become how it sells.
  • The Project Engineers are your users. They use your tools on live deals each week, so you see within days whether a change brought in meetings and proposals.
  • Engineering behind you. The Chief Engineer and the Project Engineers own the technical case for every proposal your tools produce.
  • Direct line to the Chief Engineer and the Chief Executive Officer on where the EPC team goes looking for work.
What You Get
  • Profit-sharing that rewards real contribution, not a token bonus
  • Hybrid working, office-anchored with day-to-day flexibility
  • Flexible hours, with no clock-in or clock-out
  • Annual leave, plus flexible unlimited leave on top, subject to approval
  • Medical, dental and hospitalisation coverage
