Job summary

NEXT Ventures seeks a senior software engineer to lead the Partnership Experience Squad, owning the affiliate and partner ecosystem technology for FundedNext. You will drive onboarding, tracking, payouts, and campaign tools while shaping scalable, auditable financial workflows.

You will architect server-side tracking, fraud prevention, and multi-tier commission engines, collaborating with Partnerships, Finance, Product and Operations to align platform capabilities with business goals.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering experience with leadership or squad ownership.
• Proven expertise in PHP/Laravel and Next.js/React, with scalable backend architecture.
• Experience building affiliate platforms, attribution systems, or partner ecosystems.
• Deep understanding of attribution tracking, conversion pipelines, fraud prevention, and payout workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of the in-house affiliate and partner platform, including onboarding, tracking dashboards, payout visibility, and campaign management tools.
• Architect and maintain affiliate tracking infrastructure and postback systems with cross-session attribution support.
• Own commission engines and financial systems for various partner structures with auditable payout workflows.
• Manage squad planning, technical direction, and engineering standards across the stack; collaborate with Partnerships, Finance, Product and Operations.
• Advance AI-native engineering workflows and scalable, event-driven architectures to handle high-volume partner traffic.

Your Role in Our Mission

You will lead the Partnership Experience Squad, owning the systems that power FundedNext’s affiliate and partner ecosystem. From attribution tracking and commission engines to partner onboarding and payout workflows, you will drive the technical direction, delivery execution, and scalability of a financially critical platform that directly impacts partner growth, trust, and operational reliability.

How You’ll Make An Impact

Affiliate Platform & Partner Experience

• Lead development of the in-house affiliate and partner platform, including onboarding, tracking dashboards, payout visibility, commission statements, and campaign management tools
• Build scalable partner-facing experiences using PHP/Laravel and Next.js with strong focus on usability, performance, and operational reliability
• Improve partner workflows and platform adoption by reducing friction across onboarding, reporting, and payout experiences

Attribution, Tracking & Fraud Prevention

• Architect and maintain affiliate tracking infrastructure including attribution logic, conversion processing, postback systems, and deep-link tracking
• Build scalable server-side tracking systems designed for modern browser restrictions and cross-session attribution reliability
• Implement fraud detection systems to identify suspicious affiliate activity, tracking abuse, duplicate conversions, and payout manipulation

Commission Engine & Financial Systems

• Lead development of commission engines supporting CPA, revenue share, hybrid, and multi-tier partner structures
• Build auditable payout, reconciliation, and approval systems with strong emphasis on financial accuracy and traceability
• Ensure scalability and operational stability across financially sensitive backend workflows

Squad Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Own sprint planning, technical direction, delivery cadence, and engineering standards within the squad
• Collaborate closely with Partnerships, Finance, Product, and Operations teams to align platform capabilities with business goals
• Mentor engineers, establish scalable engineering practices, and drive maintainable architecture decisions across the stack

AI-Native Engineering & System Scalability

• Leverage AI-native engineering workflows using tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, or similar AI coding agents
• Drive engineering productivity through AI-assisted development, debugging, code review, and workflow automation
• Build scalable event-driven systems capable of supporting high-volume partner traffic and financial transactions

What You Bring

• 6+ years of software engineering experience, including leadership or squad ownership responsibilities
• Strong expertise in PHP/Laravel, Next.js/React, and scalable backend system architecture
• Proven experience building affiliate platforms, attribution systems, referral engines, martech infrastructure, or partner ecosystems
• Deep understanding of attribution tracking, conversion pipelines, commission logic, fraud prevention, and payout workflows
• Strong database architecture and optimization skills using MySQL or PostgreSQL for financial and event-driven systems
• Experience leading technically complex customer-facing or partner-facing platforms in high-growth environments
• Strong stakeholder communication skills with ability to collaborate across Partnerships, Finance, Product, and Engineering teams
• Mandatory hands‑on experience with AI-native engineering workflows and modern AI coding agents
