Job summary

NEXT Ventures is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer-Lead to own the Trader Experience Squad, shaping the end-to-end trader journey across FundedNext dashboard and mobile apps.

You will drive technical direction, squad execution, and cross-functional collaboration to build scalable, high-performance experiences that boost trader engagement, reduce friction, and optimize onboarding and checkout flows.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of full stack software engineering with leadership experience.
• Proven expertise in PHP/Laravel, Node.js, and Next.js for scalable platforms.
• Experience building high-traffic web/mobile apps with strong UX, reliability, and performance.

Responsibilities

• Own and optimize the end-to-end trader journey across the dashboard and mobile apps.
• Reduce dashboard-related support tickets by identifying friction points and delivering scalable fixes.
• Lead development of mobile app experiences across iOS and Android with parity to web.

Your Role in Our Mission

You will lead the Trader Experience Squad, owning the systems that shape the end-to-end trader journey across the FundedNext dashboard and mobile applications. You will drive technical direction, squad execution, and cross-functional collaboration to build scalable, high-performance experiences that improve trader engagement, reduce support friction, and optimize onboarding and purchase flows. Alongside hands-on engineering ownership, you will help define engineering standards and AI-native development practices across the squad.

How You'll Make An Impact

Trader Experience & Product Ownership

• Own and improve the end-to-end trader journey across the client dashboard and mobile applications
• Reduce dashboard-related support tickets by identifying product friction points and delivering scalable fixes
• Drive improvements across onboarding, KYC, purchase, checkout, and account management experiences

Mobile App & Platform Development

• Lead development of the mobile app experience across iOS and Android, ensuring performance, reliability, and feature parity with the web platform
• Design and optimize purchase and checkout flows including one-click repurchase, offer visibility, and conversion-focused user journeys
• Build scalable customer-facing experiences with high standards for usability and reliability

Full Stack Engineering & System Scalability

• Architect and maintain scalable backend systems using PHP/Laravel alongside frontend systems built with Next.js
• Design high-performance APIs, notification systems, and event-driven workflows supporting large-scale user activity
• Optimize database performance, caching strategies, and platform responsiveness for high-traffic trading environments

Squad Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Lead sprint planning, technical decision-making, delivery execution, and cross-squad coordination
• Collaborate closely with Growth, Payment, Risk, Product, and Design teams to ensure seamless platform experiences
• Establish engineering standards, code review practices, and maintainable architecture across the squad

AI-Native Engineering & Operational Excellence

• Leverage AI-native engineering workflows using tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, or similar AI coding agents
• Use AI-assisted workflows for development, debugging, code review, and productivity optimization across the squad
• Mentor engineers and drive a culture of ownership, scalability, and continuous improvement

What You Bring

• 6+ years of full stack software engineering experience, including leadership or squad management responsibilities
• Strong expertise in PHP/Laravel, Node.js, and Next.js for building scalable customer-facing platforms
• Proven experience building high-traffic web or mobile applications with strong focus on UX, reliability, and performance
• Strong database architecture and optimization skills using MySQL or PostgreSQL in production environments
• Experience with notification systems, payment or checkout flows, onboarding/KYC systems, and customer journey optimization
• Ability to lead sprint execution, mentor engineers, and manage cross-functional stakeholder collaboration
• Experience in fintech, prop trading, trading platforms, or similar high-scale digital products is highly preferred
• Mandatory hands-on experience with AI-native engineering workflows and modern AI coding agents
