Responsibilities

• Coordinate freight shipments and manage documentation for air, sea, and land transport.

• Prepare and process bills of lading, invoices, packing lists, and customs declarations.
• Track shipments and provide updates on cargo status and delivery timelines.

About the role

We are seeking a Forwarding Executive to join SOON LEE TRANSPORT SDN BHD in Permas Jaya, Johor. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in our freight and cargo forwarding operations. As a Forwarding Executive, you will be instrumental in coordinating and managing the movement of goods, ensuring seamless logistics operations, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and shipping partners. This role is essential to our continued success in delivering reliable and efficient freight forwarding services.

Key responsibilities

Coordinate freight shipments and manage documentation requirements for air, sea, and land transportation, prefer proficiency with Malaysia kastam form and Singapore permit.

Liaise with clients to obtain shipping requirements, booking details, and delivery instructions

Prepare and process shipping documentation including bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, and customs declarations

Track shipments and provide regular updates to clients on cargo status and delivery timelines

Manage customs clearance procedures and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

Handle inquiries and resolve issues related to shipments, billing, and service delivery

Maintain accurate records and database entries for all forwarding transactions

Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients, carriers, and freight partners

What we're looking for

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, or related field

2-4 years of experience in freight forwarding, cargo handling, or related logistics operations

Strong knowledge of international shipping procedures, Incoterms, and customs regulations

Proficiency in logistics management systems and Microsoft Office applications

Excellent organisational and time management skills with ability to handle multiple shipments simultaneously

Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective client and partner engagement

Attention to detail with accuracy in documentation and data entry

Problem-solving abilities and flexibility to adapt to changing operational requirements

Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines

Knowledge of air freight, sea freight, and land transportation services is advantageous
