Job summary

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture or related discipline.
• Minimum 1 year of working experience in formwork design, structural drafting, or construction-related work. Fresh graduates welcomed.
• Experience in Aluminium Formwork System Design is an added advantage.
• Proficient in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit, SketchUp or other 3D software is a plus.
• Familiar with Malaysian construction standards (CIDB, DOSH, OSHA) is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Analyse architectural and structural drawings to determine formwork requirements and prepare accurate quantity take-offs (m²).
• Develop detail shell drawings, formwork layouts, assembly drawings, and 3D models using CAD/BIM software.
• Prepare drawings and documentation required for formwork fabrication and project implementation.
• Review designs and drawings for accuracy, completeness, and constructability.
• Perform engineering calculations, including load analysis, capacity verification, and stability checks for formwork systems.
• Coordinate site meetings, coordination meetings, and consultant meetings as required.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure installation follows approved drawings and design intent.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting during formwork installation, striking, and cycle operations.
• Identify and resolve design challenges or site issues, recommending practical engineering solutions to improve productivity and safety.
• Prepare method statements, technical reports, and engineering documentation related to formwork design.

The role involves preparing technical drawings, performing engineering analysis, coordinating with project teams, and providing technical support throughout the project lifecycle to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective formwork solutions.

• Evaluate site conditions and propose optimized formwork design solutions and construction methodologies.


• Coordinate site meetings, coordination meetings, and consultant meetings when required.


• Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure installation follows approved drawings and design intent.


• Provide technical support and troubleshooting during formwork installation, striking, and cycle operations.


• Identify and resolve design challenges or site issues, recommending practical engineering solutions to improve productivity and safety.

• Ensure all formwork designs comply with Malaysian construction standards and safety regulations.


• Ensure compliance with OSHA, CIDB, DOSH, and relevant industry safety standards.


• Report project progress and technical matters regularly to the Head of Department (HOD).


• Perform any other duties assigned by management from time to time.

Requirements

• -Diploma/ Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, or related discipline.
