Job summary

Green Island Feed Mills in Penang, Malaysia is seeking a forklift operator to load, unload, move, stack, and arrange raw materials, packaging materials, and finished feed. You will support receiving, storage, production material issuance, picking and dispatch, and verify documents.

Maintain accurate inventory, adhere to FIFO/FEFO, and uphold 5S and safety standards in a busy manufacturing warehouse environment. Training and shift work may be required to meet production schedules.

Qualifications

• Valid forklift driving certificate or competency licence.
• 1–2 years of forklift-operating or warehouse experience preferred.
• Experience in feed milling, food manufacturing, agriculture, FMCG, or manufacturing an advantage.
• Able to operate forklifts safely and perform basic daily equipment inspections.
• Physically fit and able to work in a dusty, noisy manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts safely to load, unload, move, stack, and arrange raw materials, packaging materials, and finished animal feed.
• Support receiving, storage, production material issuance, picking, and dispatch activities.
• Verify goods against delivery orders, receiving documents, and stock-transfer records.
• Ensure materials and finished goods are stored in correct locations and follow FIFO/FEFO practices.
• Inspect the forklift before operation and report damage or safety concerns.
• Assist with stock counts and report inventory discrepancies or damaged goods.
• Follow 5S, feed safety and workplace safety requirements; maintain cleanliness.
• Follow warehouse traffic rules, SOPs, and safety procedures.
• Perform other warehouse and material-handling duties as assigned.

Support receiving, storage, production material issuance, picking, and dispatch activities.

Verify goods against delivery orders, receiving documents, and stock-transfer records.

Ensure materials and finished goods are stored in the correct locations and follow FIFO/FEFO practices.

Inspect the forklift before operation and report any damage, malfunction, or safety concern immediately.

Assist with stock counts and report damaged goods, incorrect quantities, or inventory discrepancies.

Ensure goods are handled carefully to prevent contamination, damage, spillage, or product loss.

Maintain warehouse cleanliness and comply with 5S, feed safety and workplace safety requirements.

Follow warehouse traffic rules, loading limits, SOPs, and safety procedures.

Perform other warehouse and material-handling duties assigned by the immediate superior.

Job Requirements

Possess a valid forklift driving certificate or competency licence.

At least 1–2 years of forklift-operating or warehouse experience is preferred.

Experience in feed milling, food manufacturing, agriculture, FMCG, or manufacturing is an advantage.

Able to operate forklifts safely and perform basic daily equipment inspections.

Basic knowledge of warehouse operations, stock handling, FIFO/FEFO, 5S, and workplace safety.

Physically fit and able to handle goods in a dusty, noisy, and manufacturing environment.

Responsible, disciplined, safety-conscious, and able to work in a team.

Willing to work shifts, overtime, weekends, and public holidays when required.
