Job summary

Crown Holdings, Inc. seeks an experienced forklift operator to move and manage materials in our warehouse and production areas. You will load, unload, stack, and transport items, ensuring accurate inventory and smooth workflow on site.

This role requires certification and proven forklift experience, strong safety focus, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment while collaborating with the production team.

Qualifications

• Valid forklift operator certification/license.
• Proven experience as a forklift operator in manufacturing/warehousing.
• Proficient in operating sit-down, stand-up and reach forklifts.
• Strong warehouse safety knowledge and practices.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic understanding of inventory management principles.
• Able to work in fast-paced environments and adapt to priorities.
• Physically fit for standing, bending and reaching.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts (sit-down/stand-up/reach) to load, unload and move products within warehouse, production lines and docks.
• Stack and organize materials per storage plans for space optimization and accessibility.
• Perform daily forklift pre-ops and report defects to supervisors.
• Scan and track inventory movements with handheld scanners or similar systems.
• Assist loading/unloading trucks and containers; verify shipments against manifests.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area in line with policies.
• Participate in periodic inventory counts and keep accurate records.
• Support production by timely delivery of raw materials and removal of finished goods.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.

Job Description

Safely and efficiently operate forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve materials within the warehouse and production areas, ensuring smooth workflow and accurate inventory management.

Job Responsibilities

• Operate sit-down, stand-up, or reach forklifts to load, unload, and move products and materials within the warehouse, production lines, and loading docks.
• Stack and organize materials according to designated storage plans, ensuring optimal space utilization and easy accessibility.
• Perform daily pre-operation checks on forklifts and report any defects or malfunctions to supervisors.
• Accurately scan and track inventory movements using handheld scanners or other inventory management systems.
• Assist with loading and unloading trucks and containers, verifying the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments against manifests.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.
• Participate in periodic inventory counts and contribute to maintaining accurate inventory records.
• Support production operations by ensuring timely delivery of raw materials and removal of finished goods.
• Adhere to all safety procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Job Qualifications

• Valid forklift operator certification/license.
• Proven experience as a forklift operator, preferably in a manufacturing or warehousing environment.
• Proficient in operating various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck).
• Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and practices.

• Basic understanding of inventory management principles.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Physically fit and able to perform duties requiring standing, bending, and reaching.
