Job summary

Crown Holdings, Inc. in Malaysia is seeking a dedicated forklift operator to move, stack, and retrieve materials within warehouse and production areas, ensuring smooth workflow and accurate inventory management.

You will operate various forklift types, perform pre-shift checks, and help load/unload shipments while maintaining safety and organization in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Valid forklift operator certification/license is required.
• Proven experience as a forklift operator in manufacturing or warehousing.
• Proficient in operating sit-down, stand-up, and reach forklifts.
• Solid understanding of warehouse safety procedures and practices.

Responsibilities

• Operate sit-down, stand-up, or reach forklifts to move products and materials within the warehouse, production lines, and loading docks.
• Stack and organize materials according to storage plans for optimal space utilization.
• Perform daily pre-operation checks on forklifts and report defects.
• Scan and track inventory movements using handheld scanners or inventory systems.
• Assist with loading/unloading trucks and containers, verify shipments against manifests.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area according to policies.
• Participate in periodic inventory counts to maintain accurate records.
• Support production by ensuring timely delivery of raw materials and removal of finished goods.
• Adhere to safety procedures, including use of PPE.

Job Description

Safely and efficiently operate forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve materials within the warehouse and production areas, ensuring smooth workflow and accurate inventory management.

Job Responsibilities

• Operate sit-down, stand-up, or reach forklifts to load, unload, and move products and materials within the warehouse, production lines, and loading docks.
• Stack and organize materials according to designated storage plans, ensuring optimal space utilization and easy accessibility.
• Perform daily pre-operation checks on forklifts and report any defects or malfunctions to supervisors.
• Accurately scan and track inventory movements using handheld scanners or other inventory management systems.
• Assist with loading and unloading trucks and containers, verifying the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments against manifests.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.
• Participate in periodic inventory counts and contribute to maintaining accurate inventory records.
• Support production operations by ensuring timely delivery of raw materials and removal of finished goods.
• Adhere to all safety procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Job Qualifications

• Valid forklift operator certification/license.
• Proven experience as a forklift operator, preferably in a manufacturing or warehousing environment.
• Proficient in operating various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck).
• Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and practices.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects as required.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic understanding of inventory management principles.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Physically fit and able to perform duties requiring standing, bending, and reaching.
