Job summary

Gagner Auto Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking an automotive technician with a minimum diploma or certificate in automotive engineering. You should have 2-3 years of hands-on experience in automotive repair/aftersales and strong knowledge of vehicle diagnostics, electrical systems, and mechanical repair.

Proficiency with diagnostic tools, ability to handle complex troubleshooting, problem-solving, and working under pressure.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma or Certificate in Automotive Engineering or related field
• 2-3 years of working experience in automotive repair/aftersales service
• Strong knowledge in vehicle diagnostics, electrical systems, and mechanical repair

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair on complex vehicle issues (engine, transmission, electrical & electronic systems)
• Ensure repair and maintenance work adheres to manufacturer standards and SOPs
• Handle complex or critical cases and provide accurate root-cause analysis
• Verify and inspect completed work to ensure quality and safety standards
• Support Service Advisors by explaining technical issues and recommended solutions
• Assist in warranty evaluation and repair compliance
• Ensure jobs are completed within timelines and improve workshop efficiency
• Maintain proper documentation of diagnostics, repairs, and service reports
• Enforce workshop safety practices and housekeeping standards
• Stay updated with latest automotive technologies including EV systems
• Mentor and train junior technicians
