Job summary

AEON Co. (M) Bhd. is seeking a Foodline Manager to be based in AEON Kuching, Sarawak.

The role focuses on driving department sales, controlling gross profit, managing stock levels, and overseeing backroom and selling areas while leading staff and promoters. Monthly reports and AEON Member Day preparations are part of the duties. The candidate will guide merchandisers, monitor performance, and ensure goals are achieved by collaborating with suppliers and top management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in Foodline or retail industry.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work on a shift basis, weekends and public holidays.
• Able to work in AEON Kuching, Sarawak.

Responsibilities

• To accomplish company goals – manage department sales, profit, and inventory and how to achieve it.
• Provide guidance, direction, leadership, and support to merchandiser to ensure goals are met.
• Review and assess success of goals, plan and resource utilization.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and negotiate terms.
• Develop and implement planograms for product displays and monitor sales trends.

Foodline Manager - Based in AEON Kuching (Sarawak)

To responsible of department sales achievement, GP, loss, ordering, backroom and selling area management, staff and promoter management, and preparation monthly report, attend monthly meeting, preparation for stocktaking and AEON Member Day.

Keys Responsibilities:

• To accomplishes company goals – to manage and set department sales, profit, and inventory and how to achieve it.
• To provide guidance, direction, leadership, and support to merchandiser to ensure that they able to accomplish company goals.
• To follow up to ensure that the plan is carried out in a way that its accomplishment is assured.
• To review and assess the success of the goals, the plan and the resource is reliable measurement.
• To responsible for maintaining a positive working relationship with all suppliers – to negotiate product, price and responsible to evaluate new suppliers.
• To negotiate and make good relationship with supplier based on win-win situation.
• To manage supplier contract, rebate management and to negotiate annual trading terms for supplier.
• To responsible for developing and implementing the planogram for display products.
• To study and analysis sales productivity for new products, category, and total department sales.
• To keep track how merchandiser, maintain healthy inventory record/inventory management.
• To train merchandiser on product knowledge.
• To analyze sales trend and adjust product offering accordingly – to see which products are generating the most revenue and which products is selling less than projected and adjust the products offering based on the data. To study market overview and to relate with current assortment for improvement.
• To attending and doing presentation to top management regarding new proposal, review and planning by monthly basis.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in any related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in Foodline or retail industry.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders.
• Ambitious and aggressive character
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• The candidate must be able to work on shift basis, weekend and on public holiday.
• The candidate must be able to work in AEON Kuching, Sarawak.
