Job summary

Stinis in Malaysia is seeking a metal fabrication technician to fabricate and assemble structural metal products. You will work with metal fabrication equipment and interpret drawings to complete tasks on schedule.

Candidates must have at least three years in metal fabrication and be proficient in arc and MIG welding, with the ability to read drawings and operate measuring tools. A certificate in a related field is preferred and safety compliance is essential.

Qualifications

• At least three years of working experience in metal fabrication.
• Able to read and interpret drawings.
• Proficient in arc welding and MIG welding.
• Good with hand tools and measuring devices such as calipers and tape measures.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble structural metal products according to works orders, verbal instruction by superior and drawings.
• Locate and mark cutting lines onto work piece.
• Design and construct templates and fixtures.
• Verify conformance of part to specifications by using L-square, vernier caliper, ruler, and measuring tape.
• Complete tasks given according to the timeline.
• Inform Production Supervisor and QAC when non-conforming parts detected.
• Undertake tasks safely in compliance with HSE regulations and codes of practice.
• Perform other ad-hoc tasks directed by superior/management.

This role involves fabricating and assembling structural metal products according to works orders, verbal instructions, and drawings. You will work with metal fabrication equipment and tools to complete tasks within specified timelines, ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

Fabricate and assemble structural metal products according to works order, verbal instruction by superior and drawings

Locate and mark cutting lines onto work piece

Design and construct templates and fixtures

Verify conformance of part to specifications by using L-square, VERNIER caliper, ruler, and measuring tape

Complete tasks given according to the timeline given

Immediately inform the Production Supervisor and QAC when non-conforming parts detected

Undertake and execute all works in a safe manner by complying with relevant laws, regulations, procedures, protocols and codes of practice to safeguard Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

Perform other ad-hoc tasks directed by superior/management

About you

Must be able to perform arc welding and MIG spot welding

Must be able to read drawings and interpret drawings

Must possess the ability to operate basic hand tools, tape measuring, calipers and overhead cranes

Must possess the ability to operate power tools, bench drill, auto cutter and oxy fuel equipment

At least three (3) years of working experience in metal fabrication is required

At least secondary school education, preferably with certificate in any related field
